All 40/40 Training Bats are made from Northern White Ash by Big Hit Custom Bats in Lawrence, Kansas, one of the top wood bat manufacturers in the midwest. An extra thick 1-1/8" handle provides maximum durability. To avoid chipping and flaking, we recommend that you tape the "sweet spot" on the barrel with white athletic tape. This will greatly enhance the life of the 40/40 Bat. With proper care, most 40/40 bats will provide 2 years of drill work in practice.
However, as is the standard in the wood bat industry, 40/40 bats cannot be guaranteed against breakage. Expected life usage of a typical 40/40 bat is 2 years.
